FEED-SEG Symposia
During the FEED-SEG project two symposia are planned, a launch and a final symposium. 1. Launch Symposium: The launch symposium was a great success with more then 100 participants who have come to Hungary in order to discuss findings of EU projects, compare and update research results of existing projects, prepare definition of priorities for future research, innovation and management strategies for advanced economic productivity in relation to feed additives/ antimicrobials/functional compounds. It also provided with a platform to bring together scientific experts with experts in the field of regulatory affairs. 2. Final Symposium: The final symposium was organised in Parma, Italy. This symposium presented the future R + D expert groups outcomes, deliver suggestions for future FP7 research priorities, make general EU-policy recommendations concerning the use of feed additives/ antimicrobials/functional compounds and identify further expert groups. The symposium involved a section for identifying new project ideas for FP7 and relevant partnerships. More than 200 participants have participated at the Symposia in Hungary and Italy. It was a great success and the participants coming from academia, industry and policy makers had interesting discussions. Bringing together scientific and technological experts with decision makers from EC, EFSA, FEFANA, FEDIAF, etc. established know-how transfer and co-operations.
